LOOK Equipe Bernard Hinault – $1250 (Chicago)

Beautiful and classic 1987 Look Equipe Bernard Hinault. All tuned and restored and ready to ride, with an amazing parts list. This is the real deal. $1250 OBO.

Reynolds 753 tubing, built with a Cinelli BB shell and chrome Campy dropouts. Traditional euro racing geometry. Pearl blue paint with the classic Look Mondrian scheme as ridden by Hinault and LeMond. Brand new Michelin Lithion 2 tires and natural cork tape just installed. Brand new cables and bottom bracket. Top two pictures show the new tires and tape installed, the other pictures are slightly older.

One of these nicest Gitanes we have ever seen, although $3k ($3,250 to be exact) feels like a lot…

Up for auction is this beautiful new old stock Gitane road bike. Made in the late 70s in France.
This original bike was never used before, some parts were missing and so i assembled it with a lot new old stock and perfect preserved used Campagnolo parts.
The original blue paint job had some less very small marks of storage wich i repaired carefully. The most of them you will not be able to find.
All decals are still in perfect condition.
This frame and the new old stock Campagnolo parts are out of a bike shop storage.
The tires, the bar tape and all cables are new parts.
This classic french racer is assembled with a mix of Campagnolo Record and Super Record, because we try to build it up like the model Bernard Hinault rides
An original bike in perfect new condition, interesting for all friends of classic racing bikes and a really rare opportunity.

I have a 55cm 1986 Look Equipe road racing bike for sale. It is all original save for the wheels, which are period correct but show some wear on the brake tracks. A very interesting and fairly rare bike, it is made from Reynolds 753 tubing and is 1 of 500 total made.

The parts list is as follows:
Croce D’Aune group, with Syncros II downtube shifters
Monoplanar brakes
Early Chorus hubs laced to Mavic Open 4 CD clincher rims.
Cinelli XA Stem: 135mm length, 26.4 clamp
Cinelli Giro D’Italia bars, 64-42
MKS Sylvan pedals
Selle San Marco Regal Saddle

Frame measures 55 c-c Square, top tube and seat tube. 56 c-t seat tube.

A beautiful bike, showing very little use. It came from a friends collection, and I am just helping him sell it. Please contact with any questions!
