Love that color.
Colnago Super 1978, size 51×52,5. The Colnago Super was a high performance revolutionary frame, with a short geometry, high stiffness and super light.
This frame was built using the famous columbus SL steel tubes, the best columbus tubes on the market at the time.
The frame has been updated in the 80’s with top tube’s cable rings.
The paint is in very good conditions and there is no rust and no dents.
The groupset is a complete Campagnolo Nuovo Record with pantographed parts in good working conditions and fully operational
(check the listing pictures).

Not an extraordinary bike but…
…man the robin’s blue tape against the silver frame is awfully pretty.
Never underestimated the power of a good handlebar tape and the pop of color it provides.

For sale is a rare 1978 Colnago Super italian road bike. In grey colour, this bicycle is in original good condition, with the original decals on down tube and seat tube, and with new head badge decal applied. After a thorough clean of the frame, the original lacquer has been polished to a new shine , despite the small blemishes and paint chips the frame looks really good. The parts have been gathered with patience for this bicycle, and have been prepared carefully for install, overhaul of bearings has been done using finish line ceramic grease. The wheels have been newly built using DT Swiss spokes and nipples. The rims and hubs have been polished to mirror shine. The wheels spin and feel beautiful. The Continental Giro tubulars are not glued, but spin really well. The bicycle is built as it would have been in 1978 when it came out the factory doors. The Colnago branded Selle Italia of same vintage has some scratches but is a worthy saddle for this bicycle.

Colnago Super Classic Bicycle from 1973. The story of the Colnago Super, certainly one of the most iconic classic bicycles ever built, began in 1968 in Cambiago, Italy. Back then, Ernesto Colnago designed and manufactured a bicycle which became a legend indeed. In the 1970s, the Colnago Super represented the top model of Ernesto Colnago’s line and also the landmark for racing bicycles of its era. Made of technologically advanced Columbus SL steel tubes, with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame, the Colnago Super was, and actually is, really great to ride.
This exemplar dates back to 1973 and is fully equipped with a Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset, the best you could get back in those days. Not only the components, but also a shiny bold green paintwork really makes this Colnago Super an elegant classic road bicycle.

Couple of good-looking Colnagos
These are two of the best-looking Colnagos (that are reasonably priced) we’ve seen come up in awhile. All things (price, size, etc.) being equal, which would you choose?
First one is a very handsome dark blue Master with chrome lugs:

I am selling my old sweet Colnago which I have owned for the past year. This bike is LIGHT. I can hold it up with one arm with ease and the ride is very quiet ride minus some bike stopping noise.
Mostly Campagnolo parts minus the seat and handlebars which are uno and the rear derailleur which is Sunrace M2T (5 speed)
As the frame is 60cm this bike is ideal for bikers ranging in height from 5’11” to 6’1″
